Apparently, the food industry doesn’t care if you know how to read food labels or not…

Sounds hard to believe, doesn’t it?
Read these 3 food label deceits that can be found on just about every single food label you come across, and tell me what YOU think….

1. REDUCED SODIUM vs LOW SODIUM TRICK
A food label that says REDUCED SODIUM means there is 25% less sodium than the regular product. Let’s look at an example: Let’s say a regular can of chicken soup has 2,000mg sodium. That means the REDUCED SODIUM version would have 25% less, or:

stop killling yourself book cover• What will STOP Killing Yourself help me do better?
STOP Killing Yourself teaches you how to avoid food industry deceit so you can:

  • Cook healthier at home
  • Eat healthier when dining out
  • Grocery shop healthier

• How does the book teach all this?
The book teaches you how to interpret food labels and steer clear from deceitful marketing messages so you can make healthier choices that will help you live longer.  Here’s what people are saying:

___________________________
“Having constantly been plagued by weight gain, I feel like I have been liberated by a simple thing like reading product labels. After learning Jeff’s principles, I since lost weight & feel I am on the right track to eating healthier & actually keeping the weight off.” -Brenda Beltrami

For example, Jeff’s popular chicken soup label points out exactly how much sodium we eat on a daily basis- prepare to be shocked!

One can has up to 2,400mg of sodium.  Keep in mind: You are only allowed 2,500mg each day. Can you see how simple it can be to double, even triple your recommended daily sodium intake?  The FDA states that excessive sodium in your diet can lead to high blood pressure.

• What’s “the number thing” all about on the back cover?
On the back cover Jeff says “Knowing THIS number can save your life…..”

That number is the calorie in vs. calorie out number.  Jeff explains it in full in the first chapter using a very distinct comparison between 2 busy housewives.  However, their actions are drastically different from the minute they awake-  thus, their body compositions are drastically different.

Mom #1 is chunky, always on a sugar high, and constantly in search of fatty foods because of her lifestyle. Mom #2 is toned and fit, energized from life alone, and teaching her kids daily the importance of healthy habits.

“Hi Jeff, I went shopping today and BOY, are labels deceiving. Soooo much sodium, and multiplying by the portions, it was a much better idea for me to buy trail mix and green tea instead of soda! -Judy Martini
