December 23, 2008

Navigate your way to weight loss? What is this phenomena all about?  It’s not really a phenomena and it’s nothing revolutionary, to say the least.  Here is what I mean:

Navigating your way to weight loss means effectively using Google Search to help you find the right answers, right now, from credible Government and University/Accredited Websites.  It’s YOUR weight. It’s YOUR choice…. and it’s YOUR responsibility to learn from the credible sites; opposed to random sites that are built and managed from non-credible sources.  For example, here are some of the most credited sites to learn about ways to lose weight and live a healthier, more active lifestyle:

www.cdc.gov

www.presidentschallenge.org

www.usda.gov

www.fitness.gov

www.americanheart.org

www.fda.gov

So, the question is this: How does one find a more advanced list of .gov and .edu sites?  I’m going to show you step-by-step right now exactly what you need to do to find these sites.  Let’s get started with the Google Search page. Start by going to www.google.com Here is what you will see:

Now, click on the very small print that says “Advanced Search.”  It’s located just to the right of the empty search box.  Here is a picture:

You are now in the Advanced Search Page.  Scroll to the bottom and click on Government Sites (.gov) or Education Sites (.edu) See below:

All you do now is type in weight loss, exercise, fitness tips, nutrition information, or any other topics you want to learn about. The search results will stay confined to just those sites (.gov and .edu) and you will now read FACTS; not OPINIONS.
